Media Alert: Adobe Launches Public Sector Cloud Offerings on Amazon Web Services in Europe

Adobe announced today that Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is to be made available to public sector organisations in Europe as a managed service, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Following the success of the cloud option in the private sector, Adobe’s new cloud-enabled managed service will offer public sector organisations even greater flexibility and ease of implementation to accelerate the transformation of digital government experiences for citizens and businesses.

With AWS soon to launch a region in the UK, customers will have even more options to run Adobe’s suite of proven public sector offerings across Europe. Adobe is using AWS to provide a complete cloud service portfolio that will give government customers fast, flexible, more secure access to the cloud.

Adobe Public Sector Highlights

  • Adobe has over 25 years of experience working with national, state, provincial and local governments to provide secure, innovative solutions to enable governments to interact seamlessly with citizens.
  • Some of Adobe managed services, including web content management, received FedRAMP Authorisation in the United States in 2015. FedRAMP is a series of rigorous cloud security assessments including over 300 tests for vendors that sell to the U.S. federal government. FedRAMP accreditation provides a standardized, secure process of selecting cloud service providers that can be used across government agencies.
  • Powered by Adobe Experience Manager, the government of Canada is in the process of revitalising its central website, condensing over 1,500 agency and departmental websites into a single user-centric web platform for government news and information.

Adobe’s public sector managed services, powered by AWS, allow for flexibility, ease of implementation, and a streamlined approach to supporting governments’ online presence.

“We are thrilled to launch our managed service offerings to Europe’s public sector,” said Peter Cummings, director, public sector, EMEA at Adobe. “We continue to work closely with AWS to offer cloud solutions to our public sector customers in the United States and Canada, and look forward to seeing how AWS and Adobe can benefit public sector organisations across Europe to help improve the interactions between the state and citizens.”
