bsoco, the software comparator, releases the bsoco barometer - 4th quarter 2011

A clear and unique software market trend analysis

bsoco, the leader of the community benchmark in the domain of professional software, publishes its 4th barometer of 2011. This document presents buying trends in October, November and December. It shows the general trend of 2011 in areas of professional software such as e-learning, HR, e-business or management.

The fourth quarter was the worst quarter of the year in terms of buying trends (-12% compared to the average of three other quarters).

As for buying trends : After the falling in the 3rd quarter, the business software category (CRM, CMS, e-mailing) became the most successful, with 37%. The e-learning category continues in its free fall with only 34% against the 54% (an average over the first three quarters).

HR software, particularly talent management software is signing the largest decrease in this quarter (-18%). As for management sector (ERP, Accounting), the buying trend remains constant at about 36%.

In terms of software performance, users continue to vote for Stepstone (Talent management) that keeps the head of bsoco TOP 50, followed by Umantis (Talent management) and Mamut Enterprise (CRM). In the TOP 50, we see some great entries like ComptaPyme an accounting software (15th). We also note the strong increase of TalentSoft (Talent management) that skips 7 places.
