Hager's rich and varied training strategy provides learners with a “not only… but also” option

A blended approach: Electrical engineers attend training seminars while keeping their product knowledge up-to-date via online learning

As a company that combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies, Hager was quick to recognise the benefits of e-learning. The leading supplier of power distribution systems, as well as solutions and services for electrical installations, has been using state-of-the-art learning opportunities since 1997 to keep up with the fast pace of innovation in the industry. In a new, easy-to-access web-based training (WBT), electrical engineers can now playfully develop their expertise of modern cable routing and remote connection systems.

However, to maximise learning, Hager is not only providing product knowledge via e-learning: it is combining the online training with appropriate attendance-based seminars. This “Blended Learning” strategy provides a “not only… but also” option, consolidating elements of e-learning and attendance-based learning into a single comprehensive training architecture. Hager uses e-learning as required, to prepare, monitor and consolidate attendance-based training.

E-learning content is available via a Learning Management System in the cloud. Using an IMC learning environment, not only can learners complete WBTs; they can also access material such as webinar recordings or interactive instruction manuals in the form of “smart lessons”, which can be used at anytime, anywhere, on any device.

From our new case study, you will learn more about the rich variety of Hager's training strategy and how the latest technologies and a highly competent partner can help to eliminate training barriers. “It´s always a pleasure to work with IMC”, said Martin Zimmer, Online Training Consultant at Hager.
